Details

The Dragunov sniper rifle (Снайперская винтовка Драгунова, Snayperskaya Vintovka Dragunova, literally Dragunovs sniper rifle) is a semi-automatic sniper rifle / designated marksman rifle chambered in 7.62x54mmR developed in the Soviet Union in the late 50s, began service in the early 60s and has been in use ever since. So famed for is incredible performance and reliability, most notably it is one of the most prolific marksmans rifles ever made seeing service in both the Russian military as well as the Chinese PLA. So heavily used, it appears regularly on the news, documentaries, tv shows, movies and computer games. Classic Armies replica is a fully licensed semi-auto-only AEG SVD sniper rifle. It combines a genuine steel receiver with real wood furniture for what is probably the nicest SVD replica short of a Real Sword. The battery is front wired in the handguard, a mini 9.6v type. It clocks in at about 430 FPS and feeds from a 40 round lowcap magazine; the hop-up is easy access and looks to be decent but only time and experience in the field will report back its performance. As for whether or not the internals are modifiable, speak to our sales department. The Real Sword may be the superior SVD but it is well outside most users budget range and its limited numbers make it hard to get. The Cybergun SVD may be the cheapest but it is also a spring bolt rifle with polymer furniture. The Classic Army has the distinction of being mid-range priced weapon with proper semi-auto electric gearbox shooting.
